Andrei received his Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree from Berkeley Law, one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States.At Berkeley Law Andrei majored in immigration and business law and was awarded a certificate of successful completion of the business law program.Andrei graduated with honors from San Francisco State University and received a BA degree in Japanese language and literature. Prior to that, he completed four academic years at the Minsk State Linguistic University, interpreters’ department, where he studied Japanese, English, Russian, and Polish.Andrei completed a summer program of Polish language studies at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland.

CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN IMMIGRATION LAW:
Andrei is proud to be a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law.California State Bar certifies legal specialists who have gone beyond the standard licensing requirements. To be certified, attorneys must complete 45 hours of education in their specialty field during the three years before they apply to the certified legal specialization program. The State Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization must approve each attorney’s application. Other attorneys and judges must also give applicants a favorable evaluation. Once certified, legal specialists must maintain their certification by completing and reporting 36 hours of education every three years. Certified legal specialist are recognized as authorities on issues of local and national importance. They are often interviewed by media. Only certified specialists can be searched by practice area in the Attorney Search tool on the State Bar website.

In 2015, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors appointed Andrei Romanenko a commissioner of the Immigrant Rights Commission. Immigrant Rights Commission improves, enhances, and preserves the quality of life and civic participation of all immigrants in the City and County of San Francisco, provides advice and makes recommendations to the Mayor and the Board of Supervisors on issues affecting immigrants working and residing in the City.Immigrant Rights Commission holds annual public hearings to obtain input from the immigrant community about programs, policies, and issues that relate to immigrants who are the residents of the City and County of San Francisco. IRC cooperates with and makes recommendations to other City and County departments, agencies, and commissions that administer and enforce regulations relating to health, human services, law enforcement, human rights, language access, sanctuary city ordinance, municipal identification, and all other issues that affect immigrants in San Francisco.
INTERESTS:
Andrei enjoys learning foreign languages and loves to travel. He speaks the following six languages: Belarusian, Russian, English, Japanese, Spanish, and Polish. He is now learning Portuguese.

I am picky about whom I engage for services, and tend to view most online reviews with a pinch of salt, after generally having found contradictions between the reviews and the service of most providers. I’m Japanese. So, I can’t write in English well. But I really liked his job and sincerely appreciated for his help. So, I wanted to write about this lawyer. I had an immigration problem with my green card. Besides, the time limit was coming in 3 weeks. So I tried to find an immigration lawyer in San Francisco in such emergency situation. I called so many law office. Most of the lawyers said that my situation is complicated when I explained about my situation. And they told they will charge more than 3 thousand.
